Agita against flies: instructions for use, how to dilute the product, effectiveness, reviews

The drug Agita: features of use against flies

With the onset of warmer weather, many people are faced with the problem of an infestation of flies. In June-August their numbers reach their peak, and the inconvenience from the presence of these small insects becomes more pronounced. Many drugs have been developed against flies in different forms: adhesive tapes, aerosols, plates and liquids for fumigators. Today, the Austrian drug Agita is becoming increasingly popular. Manufacturers promise a quick effect from using the prepared solution.

Flies in the house: why are they dangerous?

Of course, flies are not the most dangerous insects that can appear in the house. They do not drink blood (with the exception of the burner fly) and do not cause such disgust as occurs when “meeting” bedbugs and cockroaches. Houseflies cause anxiety when there are too many of them. The buzzing of these insects is annoying. But the problem of being close to flies is not only their intrusiveness. They can cause many health problems, as they are carriers of infectious agents:

  • dysentery;
  • typhoid fever;
  • paratyphoid fever;
  • cholera;
  • tuberculosis;
  • polio;
  • helminthic and protozoal infestations, etc.

If flies appear in an apartment, they will land on everything: dishes, food, personal items. This means there is a risk of contracting an infection.

Other insects

Getting rid of wasps is very easy. To combat them, dry granules are used, which are placed on bait surfaces. They must be made from food materials according to the same scheme as for flies: per 10 square meters. m you need to build 3-5 baits, weighing up to 2 g each. Before setting traps, you need to choose the right location. Wasps should not fall into dishes and food. Do not forget about the corners and crevices in buildings through which these insects can penetrate.

To neutralize and expel mosquitoes, you need to prepare a solution with a 4% concentration and treat the places that are in demand among them. Most often they live in places where rays of light fall (windows, lampshades, lamps). For every sq. m you need to take 50 ml of the prepared solution. It should be prepared in the same way as for flies or wasps: mix the suspension until a homogeneous solution is obtained. It is impossible to predict when mosquitoes will appear again, so you need to irrigate the area as needed. There is no exact schedule for when to poison mosquitoes.

To get rid of fleas, you need to use an aqueous solution from Agita. The surface of the walls, floor, and gaps should be treated. Fleas live in carpets and walkways, so these also need to be treated carefully.

To inoculate such insects, a solution with a concentration of 0.8% is used. For every sq. m consume 50 ml of the prepared suspension. The treatment scheme is the same and does not depend on the location of irrigation.

The drug successfully fights the red ant and other species of this insect. The destructive concentration for it is the same as for a mosquito, so you need to prepare a 0.8% aqueous insecticidal solution. Most often, the floor surface and cracks from which ants may appear are treated with the solution. For every sq. m will need a quarter glass of poison.

You can also kill the ant using the dry version. To create a trap, non-food material is used.

Agita: general information about the drug

The drug Agita is available in the form of a finely granulated beige powder. The product dissolves easily in water, forming a milky suspension. The composition of the drug is combined and contains two active components:

  • Thiamethoxam (10%). This chemical destroys flies, cockroaches and fleas both when they come into contact with the insect’s cover, and when they are “eaten” by the pest;
  • Z-9-tricosene (0.05%). This substance is the sex pheromone of flies. This component ensures that insects are attracted to areas treated with Agita solution.

The composition additionally includes other substances attractive to flies - lactose and sugar. The product is widely used to exterminate flies on various types of objects. Thus, the effectiveness of the drug is confirmed by agricultural farm workers. Such places are characterized by a concentration of flies, and it is necessary to combat them with drugs with low toxicity to animals. Read the article about the successful experience of using Agita against flies in a pig barn.

The drug is available in different forms:

  • Agita 10 is packaged in 100 g and 400 g in plastic jars with a volume of 240 ml and 900 ml, respectively.

This form is more suitable for use in agricultural and industrial facilities. Approximate cost: 600 rubles (100 g) and 1500 (400 g);

  • Agita 10 - packages with 25, 30 grams of the product.

Convenient format for home use. Approximate cost: 100–150 rubles.

The volume of the jar corresponds to how much water needs to be added to prepare the working solution

Sometimes there are names with the numbers 20 or 50 at the end. This means a higher percentage of insecticide in the preparation. Thus, Agita 50 is used in its pure form (without preparing a solution) as a bait for wasps.

Some manufacturers produce the drug in spray bottles

You can buy Agita at a veterinary pharmacy, but it’s quicker to purchase a suitable volume at an affordable price from suppliers online.

Composition, action

Agita is produced in powder form, in the form of odorless granules.
There are 2 types of packaging in plastic jars: 100 g, 400 g, hermetically sealed with foil. The poison contains the active substance thiamethoxam. The nervous system of insects reacts to it. At the slightest contact with thiamethoxam, the membranes in the body's cells begin to collapse. The insecticide causes muscle paralysis and death. To attract flies, the manufacturer included a sex pheromone in the composition. An additional component - sugar - helps insects eat the product in a short time.

Advantages and disadvantages of Agita

The drug relatively recently began to be used for household disinfestation. There are a number of reasons why Agita is gaining popularity among consumers:

  • Versatility. The drug is effective in the fight against flies, cockroaches, and fleas. It has a toxic effect on insects that have developed an addiction to traditional products based on organophosphorus compounds and pyrethroids.
  • Convenience. The ability to independently choose the processing method: you can spray or smear.
  • Fast action. The death of insects occurs within 3–5 minutes.
  • Safety. The drug has low toxicity and is classified as low-hazard.

The disadvantages of the drug include the following:

  • Large consumption of the drug.
  • Price. The product cannot be called a budget option.
  • The product is not ready for use immediately. It is necessary to calculate the proportions and mix.

For Agita to work, the fly must sit on the treated surface and try the “bait”

Features of using the product

Before you start using poison, you need to consider some rules:

  • It is possible to treat the area with the drug only in the absence of animals and people who do not take part in applying the solution.
  • For the product to be most effective, it is recommended to treat at least 30% of the contaminated room or area.
  • Animals should not be allowed to come into contact with surfaces treated with Agita.
  • Under no circumstances should the drug get into feed or onto equipment intended for processing food products.
  • Animals can be brought into a disinfected room only after the poison has completely dried.
  • After mixing the components of the solution, the liquid must be used completely.
  • It is not recommended to spray the product in rainy weather.

How to use Agita correctly

Agita powder is diluted with warm water and mixed well before application. The working solution is applied by spraying or brushing. The table shows the proportions of the substance and water for different types of treatment.

Pay attention to the following tips for using the drug Agita:

  • The prepared dab solution can be applied to interior items, walls and other surfaces.
  • Consider the fact that the composition, although low-toxic, is still an insecticide. Don't swab anything you come into contact with regularly.
  • The product will be less effective if applied to wood, plaster or other porous surfaces.
  • If you don’t want to leave traces of processing, make smears on cardboard or polyethylene and place them in the “favorite” places for flies. Better yet, hang it from the ceiling.
  • When choosing spraying treatment, spray the walls at the top (about 2 meters from the floor).
  • The active effect of the drug will end after 6 weeks. Thus, one treatment is enough for the season.

I always look at hanging sticky flycatchers with some disgust. Especially if there is no free space on them, and some insects continue to buzz, trying to escape. Running around the apartment with fly swatters is also not the best option, except perhaps to develop attention and reaction. Using Agita solution, you can make hanging baits (by spreading the product on cardboard), which will look much better than sticky tapes. Flies will land on such poisoned “platforms” due to the action of pheromones. And, most importantly, such traps will have to be updated infrequently - once every 1.5 months.

How to use?

Since the solution itself is aqueous, it must be diluted with liquid. In order for the components of the product to dissolve better, it is recommended to use water at room temperature.

The granules are mixed in a container until a homogeneous composition is obtained. To apply the product you can use:

  • Fleecy brushes. With their help, the solution is applied to certain areas of the surface.
  • Sprayers. Using special sprayers, the composition is applied to the areas of infection.

Safety precautions when working with the drug

The active substances in Agita powder do not cause any particular harm to human health. However, as when working with any chemical poisons, it is necessary to follow safety rules:

  1. Before processing the room, you need to protect your skin and mucous membranes, and for this you should wear a gown, rubber gloves, sealed safety glasses and a respirator.
  2. Hide all food, water and utensils so that the poison does not get on it.
  3. Smoking, consumption of food and any liquid during treatment is prohibited.
  4. After finishing the treatment, wash your hands and face with warm water and soap, and rinse your mouth.
  5. All remnants of the drug that were not used during processing must be disposed of.
  6. After the product expires, all treated surfaces are wiped with a solution of soda ash.
  7. Treatment should not be carried out by persons under 18 years of age, pregnant and lactating women, or people with allergies.
  8. Further use of the drug container is prohibited.

First aid for poisoning

Side effects and contraindications are excluded when Agita is properly diluted and used in accordance with the instructions included in the product package. If the product gets into your nose, mouth, or eyes, it is recommended to immediately wash off the drug with running water before symptoms of poisoning appear.

If during treatment a person’s breathing becomes difficult, swelling of the mucous membranes occurs, he is taken out into fresh air. If Agita gets into the stomach, gastric lavage is performed under medical conditions.

Even if the symptoms of poisoning do not cause serious concern, it is recommended to give the victim plenty of water to drink and take a one-time dose of sorbents - activated carbon or enterosgel.

In rare cases, painful conditions are caused not by drug poisoning, but by individual intolerance to the components of the drug, which manifests itself in the form of a severe allergic reaction.

Agita is an effective, potent fly repellent that helps clear your home of flying insects in a short time. Before use, it is important to carefully read the instructions, follow the proportions when diluting with water, and during processing, follow the safety rules when working with poisons.

Reviews

The Agita product was purchased to get rid of flies in a country house and under the canopy adjacent to it. I diluted 50 grams of warm (not hot!) water per 400 ml of water. I didn’t feel any smell, since I dissolved it directly in a plastic 600-gram bottle. The wall panels in the house were treated at a height of 150–170 cm from the floor and the ceiling of the open canopy adjacent to the house. Flies, flying under the canopy, begin to spin and “dance” in the air, then fall dead. All that's left to do is sweep it up. Night butterflies and moths, mosquitoes and crickets also die. When used in a city apartment to kill cockroaches, no effect was found, although this was also written in the annotation.

For many years we used various products with an unpleasant odor, but now we have a child in the house and the use of toxic products has become impossible, friends advised us to go to the vet. pharmacy and buy an odorless miracle product, this miracle turned out to be Agita.

The main thing is that the Agita 10WG fly repellent really works. Moreover, the effect is long-term. Someone talks about weeks of life without flies after treating the area, but I don’t believe in such a period. My grandfather already used this poison at home (and there are tons of mosquitoes there, since the Kuban River is nearby) and noted a three-day effect. There is no price for this thing. Now you don’t have to close the doors to the street without fear of a house full of scoundrels with wings. By the way, the product can be used not only outdoors, but also indoors. The white, thick liquid that results after mixing the granules with water is quickly either absorbed or dries without leaving any visible traces. And yet, the product is also effective in the fight against cockroaches and fleas. So for 130 rubles this thing is like a gift from God. Especially for those living in areas with a high concentration of flyers.

Agita is an effective drug for exterminating annoying flies. The effectiveness of the product is determined by its unique composition, which combines an insecticide and a sex pheromone of flies. The working solution is easy to prepare yourself and application does not require special skills or equipment.

Application procedure

The drug is used in the form of a working solution by applying stripes (smears) or spraying surfaces.

Treating surfaces by applying brush strokes

The working solution of the drug is prepared in a separate container, mixed with water at room temperature, at the rate of 400 g of Agita 10 WG per 320 ml of water and stirred until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The prepared solution is applied to the surface with a brush in strokes (at least 30 stripes measuring 10x30 cm). The prepared solution is sufficient to treat a room with a floor area of 160 m2.

When using another package, the drug is mixed with water at the rate of 100 g of Agita 10 WG per 80 ml of water. With a brush, the solution is applied to the surface in strokes (at least 8 strips measuring 10x30 cm). The prepared solution is sufficient to treat a room with a floor area of 40 m2.

The duration of the insecticidal effect with this method of applying the drug is 6-8 weeks.

Surface treatment by spraying

In the container of the spraying apparatus, with thorough mixing, dissolve 400 g of Agita 10 WG in 3.2 liters of water at room temperature. The solution is used to treat at least 30% of the surface area of the walls and ceiling. The prepared solution is sufficient to treat a room with a floor area of 160 m2.

When using another package, 100 g of Agita 10 WG are dissolved in 0.8 l of water with thorough mixing. The prepared solution is sufficient to treat a room with a floor area of 40 m2.

The duration of the insecticidal effect of the drug with this treatment method is 4-6 weeks.

The working solution is used to selectively treat surfaces preferred by insects (warm, sunny walls, window frames, lamp shades).

In places unsuitable for applying the drug, or where its application is undesirable, hang strips of cardboard or plastic tape, pre-treated with a working insecticide solution.

In piggeries, wall surfaces should be sprayed at a height above 1.5 m, and on cattle farms - above 2 m.

The product should not be applied to dirty, highly porous, or freshly whitened surfaces.

The prepared solution of the drug must be used within one working day. If the treatment process has been suspended for more than 30 minutes, the solution should be re-mixed before use.

During the treatment, animals are removed from the premises, any remaining feed, water and dairy equipment are removed, milking equipment is covered with plastic wrap, and eggs are collected from poultry houses.

Entering animals into the premises is permitted after the treated surfaces have completely dried.

Description and composition of the product

Agita is a modern Austrian drug produced, which in addition to flies destroys cockroaches, ants, fleas, and mosquitoes. In terms of its composition, it belongs to a contact insecticidal agent. Its components are:

  • Thiamethoxam 10% is an active substance that, when it enters the intestines of an insect, paralyzes the nerve endings and, as a result, leads to death;
  • tricozene 0.05% – sex pheromone that attracts flies and other insects;
  • sugar is a favorite treat of flies;
  • lactose - used to form a suspension.

Agita is presented in the form of small granules, similar to a light beige powder. Agita has no odor when dry. When diluted in water, the solution acquires an unpleasant odor, but after application to the surface the mixture ceases to smell.

Description

The appearance of the insecticide is a beige, odorless powder. The product is packaged in plastic jars of 400 and 100 grams, as well as bags of 25 and 12.5 grams. Each package contains instructions for Agita fly repellent. The name of the company that produces the insecticide is written on the cans and bags and the trademark is displayed.

Insect repellent is used not only in residential areas. It can be used in barns or poultry houses, basements or cellars. When there are large concentrations of flies and other insects, farmers often worry about the health of their animals. By purchasing Agita, owners of “livestock” can be sure that their “wards” will not be bothered by insects for a long time, since a large package of the product will be enough to ensure the treatment of the entire farm.

The active component of the product belongs to the group of neonicotinoids. The substance is called thiamethoxam. The drug also contains a means to attract flies – Muscalure. It also has another name - tricozene, which is a pheromone (a means of chemical communication for individuals of the same species) secreted by a housefly. In addition, the preparation contains sugar and lactose. Insects do not get used to the active ingredient, so the drug is always effective in the fight against them.

The action of the insecticide is the penetration of the poison into the digestive tract of the fly, where it has a detrimental effect

The insect then becomes paralyzed and dies within a few minutes. A maximum of 24 hours after using Agita, all insects are destroyed. The effect lasts up to eight weeks. However, this depends on the quality and method of application. When sprayed, the product is effective for no more than one and a half months.

Reviews about this drug are mostly positive

With proper treatment of the premises, taking into account precautions, people get rid of flying pests for a long time. The main advantage of the drug is its high efficiency and speed of chemical action.

The use of the product also becomes a big plus, since no heavy or complex manipulations are required when using it. As buyers note, the insecticide has only one drawback - it attracts excessive attention of pets to the drug itself.

Mode of application

According to the instructions for use, Agita fly powder can be used both indoors and on open verandas in three ways: in dry original form, in a paste when diluted with water, and in the form of a liquid solution. The simplest and fastest treatment method is to sprinkle the powder in places where there is a large concentration of flies: window sills, verandas, warm radiators.

Poison scattered on surfaces and floors can attract the attention of pets and small children. If you come into direct contact with powdered poison, there is a high risk of serious poisoning.

To dilute Agita to a paste, you need to mix 100 grams of the product with 80 ml of warm water. The prepared mixture should be used within the next 6 hours and stirred every half hour. To apply in a thin layer it is convenient to use a paint brush. To treat a room of up to 40 m2, you need to apply the product in strips to the floor surface. The stripes should be small - about 30x10 cm. To treat a room of 80 m2, you will need to dilute 400 grams of dry powder with 320 ml of water. The protection against flies lasts for 8 weeks.

Using Agita against flies

The method of application in liquid form is also described in the instructions for Agita against flies. To prepare a solution when treating an area of 20 square meters. m you need to dilute 100 grams of Agita in 800 ml of water. If a room of up to 80 square meters is to be sprayed. m - 400 g of powder are diluted in 3.2 liters of water. Using the product in liquid form has one drawback - the protective effect lasts up to 6 weeks.

Unused solution should not be stored. It should be disposed of together with the original packaging away from water bodies, pastures and places where people and animals may come into contact with waste.

The effect of the poison begins within 5 minutes after its first contact with the insect. Within 24 hours, all insects in the treated area will be destroyed. After the insecticide has expired, wet cleaning should be done in the room where it was used. If necessary, surfaces can be re-treated in accordance with the instructions for use.

Instructions for use

The poison is used only in liquid form: the solution looks like a white suspension interspersed with beige. To dilute the product, take clean warm water and a disposable container for mixing. Processing is possible in two ways:

  1. Using a sprayer (spray, aerosol can). Agita distributed over the surface in this way retains its insecticidal effect for 5 weeks.
  2. Using brush strokes (a wide construction brush with artificial bristles will do). With this application method, the composition will remain operational for 7 weeks due to a thicker coating layer.

Depending on which processing method is chosen, 50 g of the drug is diluted in 40 ml of water. If the composition is applied in 4 strips 10 cm wide and 30 cm long, this amount will be enough to disinfest a room of 20 m2.

For spraying, the same amount of the drug is diluted in 400 ml of water, but only 10 m2 of surface can be treated. The required mass of the product is calculated based on the area of the room being treated: the larger the square footage, the multiple times the amount of product needs to be used.

It is recommended to use the finished solution within 1 hour, stirring occasionally during use to avoid separation of the suspension. The remaining mixture must not be discharged into the sewer system. Disposal is carried out far from agricultural lands, pastures and hunting grounds.

Precautionary measures

Agita fly repellent belongs to hazard class 4, meaning that it is safe for humans with short-term contact. But, like any insecticide, the drug must be used with certain precautions:

  1. Persons under 18 years of age, pregnant women, and allergy sufferers are not allowed to kill flies using Agita.
  2. Before treatment begins, people and animals must leave the premises. All food products, dishes, and animal feed must be taken out of the treated area or isolated, tightly packed in airtight packaging.
  3. If Agita is used in pigsties, surfaces located at a height of 1.5 meters from the floor level should be treated. In farm buildings for cattle and in stables, walls are not treated at a height of up to 2 meters.
  4. The person who uses the drug against flies must have personal protective equipment: gloves, a gown or a special suit, a respirator. During the entire procedure, you must not eat, drink water, or smoke.
  5. Containers and tools that were used during insecticide treatment cannot be reused for other purposes and cannot be stored. These items must be disposed of.

Personal prevention measures

  1. Persons over 18 years of age and not suffering from allergies should work with the fly repellent.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the properties of the insecticide in order to know what danger it poses to humans, its toxicity and how to provide first aid in case of poisoning.
  3. Only people trained to safely work with insecticidal preparations should use Agita solutions against flies.
  4. It is strictly forbidden to eat, smoke or drink while treating premises.
  5. After finishing the treatment, you should wash your hands with warm water and soap.
  6. The processes of preparing and using solutions should be carried out only in special clothing: a gown or protective suit, a dust mask, a hat, rubber boots and gloves to prevent them from getting into the respiratory system, eyes and skin. The remainder of the product must be disposed of in places specially designated for this purpose, as far as possible from areas intended for walking livestock and sources of water supply.
  7. Containers with residual fly repellent should be disposed of with household waste.
  8. If granules are accidentally spilled, they must be carefully swept away from the area and washed with clean water.

Release form and price

Agita insecticidal powder is available in plastic jars with lids of 100 and 400 grams. The container volume is 240 and 900 ml, respectively. Closed packaging should be stored away from food products and out of reach of children and animals. It should be stored at a temperature of minus 10°C to +30°C. The shelf life of the drug is 3 years from the date of release.

You can buy Agita at a hardware store that specializes in selling chemicals. This product is also available on websites. The price of Agita fly repellent may vary depending on the supplier, place of sale and a number of other circumstances. The average cost of a drug weighing 100 g is 900 rubles, and a large jar of 400 g is 2,400 rubles.

Analogues of the drug Agita are: Absolute in the form of granules, insecticidal powder Adamant, Get against midges and flies, universal powder Delicia.

How to protect yourself while working with Agita insecticide

It is extremely important to isolate the skin of the hands, mucous membranes of the eyes and mouth. Always use disposable rubber gloves, a sealed mask and goggles. Even accidental contact with the mucous membrane is dangerous to health.

While preparing the solution, it is forbidden to smoke, place glasses of water, fruits or even packaged food next to each other, or touch the skin with your hands. The room itself must be ventilated. It is permissible to prepare the solution outdoors.

If the solution gets on the mucous membrane or is accidentally swallowed, then you need to drink up to 1.5 liters of water, activated carbon at the rate of 1 tablet per 1 kg of weight. If it gets worse over time, then you should consult a doctor immediately.

Pros and cons of the drug

The main advantage of Agita over other insecticides is its high efficiency and speed of action. The chemical effect begins to work from the first minutes of application of the insecticide. Easy ways to use the product also have a positive effect on its overall rating. Anyone can cope with simple instructions for use. The absence of strong pesticides makes the product low-toxic and safe for people.

The disadvantages include the fact that in addition to insects, the drug can attract the attention of domestic animals and birds. It also poses a danger to bees and bumblebees, which are pollinators of many garden crops. The insecticide itself is expensive, which may be a reason to choose a cheaper analogue.

Contraindications

There are no side effects when using the drug correctly and following safety rules.

It is contraindicated to disinfest flies with Agita in the following cases:

  • age under 18 years;
  • people with allergies;
  • for respiratory diseases;
  • Do not treat surfaces where human hands or animals will come into contact.

It is contraindicated to work with a toxic substance without personal protective equipment.

Reviews

At my dacha, neighbors raise chickens and pigs. We often get flies from them. A very unpleasant phenomenon. I used adhesive tape, it had an effect, but I wanted to achieve a better result. A work colleague suggested buying Agita. I decided to try it. I applied it to the walls and floors in all rooms of the dacha. Within a couple of hours, insect corpses were lying everywhere. The product is good, I recommend it!

I want to tell you about Agita insect repellent. My husband and I recently moved to a house on the outskirts of the city. And they encountered an unpleasant problem: insects. Flies, midges, and mosquitoes constantly fly into the house through open doors and windows. I started looking on the Internet for information on how to get rid of insects. They offer many chemical and folk remedies. I found positive reviews about Agita fly repellent. I ordered a small jar on the website to try. I only treated the kitchen and veranda with it, but a lot of flies died. After that, I bought a large jar and treated it everywhere. Until the end of summer, insects no longer bothered me.

I learned about fly poison from my neighbors. They poisoned flies with Agita in their barn. I have a chicken coop and a small barn in my yard, where I keep pigs every summer. Naturally, flies flock to the smell. I treated the walls at a height of 1.5 meters and the ceiling so that the pigs could not reach the poison. As a result, there are much fewer flies; new ones fly in every day and die almost immediately. A very effective remedy.

How to use

Before starting the fly extermination activity, Agita must be dissolved in water:

  1. if you make brush strokes - 100 g of the drug per 80 ml of water;
  2. if sprayed - 100 g of Agita per 400 ml of water.

Then do this: if you use the brush stroke method, stir the mixture until smooth. The specified amount is enough to process 40 square meters. Use a brush to “draw” strips 10 cm wide and 30 cm long on walls, floors, etc. In total, you need to make at least 8 such strips, the effect of which will last up to 6-8 weeks.

To spray the drug correctly, you need to pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray at least 30% of the total area of the treated area (enough for 80 square meters). The duration of the effect is 4-6 weeks.

Surfaces that are touched by food products should not be treated with Agita. The product should not be applied to porous or dirty surfaces or fresh whitewash. Dispose of any remaining product as a particularly hazardous substance (do not pour it into the toilet or sink).

Precautionary measures

Compliance with precautions when using the drug Agita is strictly necessary:

  • work with the drug only in protective clothing (overall clothing, gloves, respirator);
  • do not allow the solution to come into contact with the skin or eyes (in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water);
  • do not smoke, eat or drink during disinsection;
  • when everything is finished, immediately wash your hands thoroughly with detergent;
  • If you accidentally ingest Agita, immediately drink as much water as possible, take activated carbon at the rate of one tablet per 10 kg of weight (on average, this is from 10 to 20 tablets) and immediately call an ambulance.

Agita should be stored away from the sun and moisture, from children and pets, as well as from food at a temperature not lower than +10 and not higher than + 30 C.

Agita fly repellent: instructions and reviews

Not every branded insecticide can effectively kill flies that have bred in a house, area or apartment. While you choose the most worthwhile one, you yourself may be poisoned from an overabundance of chemicals in the room. Therefore, such means should always be selected carefully and thoughtfully. One of the best options is the European product “Agita” (“AGITA” 10 WG). This is a specialized drug that is often used by professional exterminators and sanitary services.

Who is allowed to work with this product?

Persons under 18 years of age, women who are pregnant or are breastfeeding should not be allowed to manipulate.
Before the procedure, you need to carefully prepare the room (remove dishes, food, animals, fish, birds and children). People who are not involved in the processing process should not be in the room. If the room is cleaned by professionals, they must wear special protective equipment (robe, headgear, disposable rubber gloves). It is recommended to dispose of all these things after processing. As for the respiratory organs, they need to be protected using a special respirator RU-60M or RPG-67. These devices contain a type A gas mask cartridge and are used by disinfectors in their work.

After treatment, the building should be ventilated for 30 minutes, and only then can you enter it. If it is impossible to throw away the clothes after treatment, you need to ventilate them. After some time, such clothes should be thoroughly washed in an aqueous solution with soda and laundry soap.

To prepare the solution you will need 50 g of soda, which is already calcined, and 270 g of soap. The last remedy should be taken only of the household type, because anything else will not be suitable for such purposes. Clean items that were used during processing should be stored in a separate closet. They should not be left in poison warehouses or at home.

If treatment is planned in a kindergarten, then it should be done on a day off so that the room is well ventilated from chemicals.

Danger from flies to humans

Flies are considered carriers of many diseases when they appear in large numbers in a house where people live, as well as in vegetable, food warehouses and other premises for people and animals. As soon as the warmth comes after winter, these creatures immediately wake up. They eat almost the same things as humans , with the exception of waste, manure or decay products. These winged annoying creatures are capable of carrying various pathogenic bacteria on their paws, which then provoke the following diseases :

  • cholera;
  • typhoid fever;
  • worm eggs;

There are different flies - blood-sucking and not , different sizes, colors, differ in preference for food and location, and so on. They fly from place to place very quickly and you can’t catch them with your hands. In addition, when using various insecticides that contain attracting substances, not all flies will react to it. Using insecticide

The product is dissolved in water; to speed up its dissolution, it is desirable that it be warm. In this case, the solution must be used immediately. The finished mixture is only suitable for 12 hours. With every hour the liquid sits idle, its effectiveness decreases. Immediately before application, the product is thoroughly mixed. In this case, this action must be performed every 30 minutes. When using an insecticide, you should pay more attention to places where insects accumulate - these are window sills, pipes, window frames, doors and insulated walls.

Agita solution can be used in three ways:

  • Application with strokes. The product is mixed in a proportion of 80 milliliters of warm water and 100 grams of powder. Using a brush, stripes are applied to the surface. The volume of insecticide is usually enough for 40 square meters. If there is no suitable surface in the room, you can apply the mixture to cardboard or any other material. Then secure these strips around the perimeter of the room (on the ceiling or walls).
  • Spraying. For 100 grams of powder you will need 800 milliliters of slightly heated water. A small package is enough for 20 square meters. The ceiling and walls are sprayed with the solution.
  • Dry use. To do this, spread the powder on window sills and other surfaces. To make the product more effective, you can drop a little water on it.

If new flies appear or the premises are not sufficiently treated, the steps can be repeated.
Agita is a toxic agent, therefore, when using it, it is necessary to remove animals from the premises. In addition, children should also not be present during processing. All food and dishes are also hidden in the refrigerator and cabinets. It is advisable to cover the furniture with oilcloth so that insecticide particles do not get on it or, especially, inside.
