"Tsifoks": how to dilute, in what proportion to use against bedbugs, ants, mosquitoes, cockroaches and lice

If the insect population has exceeded all reasonable limits and traditional methods can no longer cope, called specialists use Tsifox, a potent insecticide. It is used more often against “floor” insects, forgetting about the ability of Tsifoks to destroy flying pests. Tsifoks against mosquitoes is used not only indoors, but also in open spaces. This effective insect repellent can be purchased at garden centers and used independently. But compliance with safety measures when spraying Cifox is mandatory.

Composition and effect of the concentrate

The product is designed to remove small pests: fleas, bedbugs, cockroaches, ticks and even lice. The drug is presented in the form of a transparent emulsion with a yellowish tint and a specific aroma. The product is sold in polymer bottles ranging from 50 ml to 1 liter.

The composition includes the active substance - cypermethrin (25%), as well as additional components: fragrance, emulsifiers and solvents. The poison enters through the chitin and mouth opening, causing a nerve-paralytic reaction in the parasites, as a result of which they die.

The product has a strong concentration of cypermethrin, so it must be diluted with clean water. When diluted, the liquid takes on the color of milk. For disinfestation of a two-room apartment, 50 ml of solution is enough, there will still be left for repeated treatment.

You can use the drug in your summer cottage. It guarantees protection of the ground and pool from annoying mosquitoes, midges, and ticks. But the use of “Tsifoks” is prohibited for treating bodies of natural origin.

Cost and analogues

Depending on the region, the cost of a 50 ml bottle of Tsifoks ranges from 200 rubles. The price of a liter canister will be 1,400 rubles (data as of January 2022). Tsifoks also has analogues:

  • "Foresight";
  • "Sichlor";
  • "Tsiplomar";
  • "Fas."

Advantages

There are five advantages of the product.

  1. Speed. Parasites begin to die within 30 minutes after the start of disinfestation.
  2. Long lasting effect. The solution even destroys oviposition; the residual effect lasts for several months.
  3. Economical. A small amount of solution is enough to treat a medium-sized apartment; the affordable price makes it accessible to a wide range of buyers.
  4. Stealth. The composition can be applied to all surfaces and furniture. It leaves no marks and does not spoil things.
  5. Wide range of action. Destroys not only bedbugs, but also cockroaches, flies, ticks, lice, wasps and mosquitoes.

Flaws

There are few negative aspects when using Tsifoks, but they still exist.

  • Mode of application. Before use, the drug must be diluted with water and poured into a spray bottle.
  • Strict dosages. When disinfecting, each type of insect requires its own dosage; these measures must be followed.
  • Toxicity. When processing, it is necessary to use protective clothing and a respirator to avoid poisoning by cypermethrin vapors.
  • Addiction. Over time, insects develop immunity to Cyfox and stop reacting to it.

Processing rules

To better destroy bloodsuckers, treatment of a summer cottage against mosquitoes is carried out after preliminary preparation: mowing down unnecessary plants along the perimeter of the area near fences, as well as around ponds. This reduces the number of hiding places for adult mosquitoes.

After preparation, the surfaces of the walls of all buildings, bushes, trees and grass are treated with the Tsifox solution. To destroy the larvae, spray the surface of reservoirs with standing water.

Important!

Fish ponds, water sources for irrigation and drinking, swimming places, and running water should not be treated.

Instructions for use

Before dissolving the concentrate, complete three preparatory steps.

  1. Clear the furniture. Remove all clothes and belongings from closets and chests of drawers - the shelves should be empty. Move pieces of furniture away from the walls to work in nooks and crannies.
  2. Put away food and utensils. Seal all food, plates and cups and take them out to the balcony.
  3. Remove animals from the apartment. The fumes from the drug are toxic to pets; take them outside. If this is not possible, remove the aquarium with fish from the visit and close it tightly.

Preparation of the solution

Before self-disinfestation, you must study the instructions. The solution must be prepared based on the degree of infection of the room and the type of insect that attacked it. To remove ants, lice and bedbugs, a concentrate of 0.05% is needed, and for more tenacious parasites (fleas, cockroaches, flies) - 0.1%.

The substance must completely dissolve, so the composition must be thoroughly mixed in water. Disinsection is carried out in four stages.

  1. Fill the pan. Take a separate container and pour one third of tap water into it.
  2. Stir the composition. Add the required amount of solution and mix.
  3. Bring until ready. Add the rest of the water to the desired concentration and shake again.
  4. Prepare your sprayer. Leave the product to sit for five minutes and then pour it into a spray bottle.

“Tsifoks” against bedbugs remains active for eight hours after its preparation, but it is better not to hesitate and carry out disinfestation immediately.

Treatment

Apply the prepared solution to the favorite habitats of pests:

  • walls and corners;
  • areas with peeling wallpaper;
  • skirting boards and floors;
  • electrical appliances, sockets;
  • slopes, cracks and doorways;
  • furniture frames, carpets;
  • lower zone of window sills;
  • wardrobes and chests of drawers - inside and outside;
  • beds and chairs - bottom and back surface;
  • watches, paintings.

For the best effect, treat individual objects, tile joints and smooth floor surfaces with a brush dipped in the applied compound.

Who is Cifox fighting?

To combat ants, bedbugs, and ticks, Tsifox is used according to the following scheme. It is necessary to prepare a solution with a concentration of 0.05% and directly treat the room and places where parasites accumulate. A sprayer is used for processing. It is necessary to thoroughly treat the infected areas with the solution and leave for 12 hours. After this time has elapsed, the remaining product must be removed with water or detergent.

To kill cockroaches, prepare a solution with a concentration of 0.1% and spray it in the room. To process 1 sq. m, only 50 ml of solution is enough.

To defeat flies, just spray a solution of water plus Tsifox at a concentration of 0.1%

Pay special attention to the treatment of accumulation areas: toilet, trash cans, kitchen. It is best to carry out processing in the summer

One procedure will be enough to notice the result. Use 100 ml of solution per 1 sq. m regardless of whether spraying is carried out outdoors or indoors.

To eliminate mosquitoes in open areas, Tsifox is used with a concentration of 0.01%. Use near water bodies is permitted if industrial fish farming is not carried out there. The drug is consumed at 100 ml per 1 sq. m. m of treated area.

Advice! Despite the fact that the emulsion is not particularly toxic to humans, any processing must be carried out in protective clothing, goggles and a respirator. This will help protect the body from released vapors and prevent allergic reactions.

Precautionary measures

When working with drugs to kill parasites, you must use special clothing, namely:

  • protective overalls:
  • latex gloves;
  • respirator;
  • glasses.

While processing the apartment, you must not smoke, eat, or drink alcoholic beverages. You need to spray Zifox with the vents and windows open. Carry out disinfestation immediately in all rooms where pests have been noticed. After treatment, leave the apartment to ventilate for at least ten hours. After this time, carry out wet cleaning, rinse off the remaining composition with a soap and soda solution.

Pregnant women, children and people sensitive to cypermethrin are prohibited from working with Cifox, even in a ventilated area.

How it works

Used against ants, cockroaches, ticks, mosquitoes, flies, fleas and bedbugs. Penetrates well through the chitinous coverings of insects. Has a repellent effect.

The advantages include the ability of the product to remain on treated surfaces for up to thirty days. The advantages are as follows:

  • The duration of the residual effect is up to 3 weeks in reservoirs, up to one and a half months in nature and up to 3 months indoors.
  • Cypermethrin (25%) does not penetrate plants and is resistant to ultraviolet rays and high temperatures.

At the same time, it is highly toxic to bees, fish, small mammals and birds. Tsifoks is used only with unconditional compliance with the required safety measures. It is used by sanitary organizations, and can also be used by the population independently.

Danger of poisoning

"Tsifoks" is a low-toxic drug, but prolonged interaction with it and failure to comply with precautions can lead to poisoning or allergies.

Signs of poisoning:

  • headache;
  • copious amounts of saliva;
  • vomiting and nausea;
  • dizziness;
  • weakness.

At the slightest sign of discomfort, stop pest control, put on clean clothes, and rinse your mouth with a soda solution. If the product gets on your skin, wash the affected area with soda solution. Take 20 tablets of activated charcoal and an antihistamine to prevent an allergic reaction. If you feel worse, be sure to consult a specialist.

"Tsifoks" is flammable, store it away from fire and heating devices, in a hermetically sealed container. Place the toxic product out of the reach of children and pets, away from medications and food.

Release form

A popular product for combating harmful insects is produced in Russia. The concentrated emulsion is poured into plastic containers. The volume of bottles is 50, 500 ml and 1 liter.

When removing various types of parasites and pests, owners and professional exterminators prepare a working solution of a certain concentration: the product is diluted with clean water to the required levels.

Description of the drug

In the bottle, tsifox looks like a liquid with a yellowish tint and a strong specific odor.
When diluted, the solution loses its transparency and acquires a white milky color. The drug is almost invisible on the surface after drying, which cannot be said about its smell. The persistent aroma persists for a long time after treatment and it is better to leave the room for a day so as not to inadvertently get poisoned. The product is usually sold in transparent plastic bottles of 50, 500 and 1000 ml. If you have to treat a one- or two-room apartment, then it is more advisable to buy a small 50 ml bottle. This is quite enough for 1-2 disinsections.

The active ingredient of Cifox is cypermethrin. This is a broad-spectrum insecticide belonging to the second generation pyrethroids. In addition to Cifox, this substance is contained in many other insecticides, for example, in Cucarache, the use of which can be read in the article:

The Zifox bottle contains a 25% solution of cypermethrin. When ingested by arthropods, it paralyzes the nervous system, which leads to the death of insects.

Tsifox helps not only against bedbugs. With its help you can get rid of fleas, cockroaches, midges, flies, ticks, lice and garden pests.

Most often, Tsifox is sold in bottles of 50 and 500 ml

The prepared solution cannot be stored. In this form, tsifox quickly loses its activity, and it must be used no later than 8 hours after dilution.

How to breed?

So, how to breed tsifoks from bedbugs? According to the instructions developed by the Research Institute of Disinfectology of Rospotrebnadzor, the drug is mixed with cold water in the following proportions:

  • if the room is heavily infested with insects, take 2 ml of the product per 1 liter of water;
  • when the population of bloodsuckers is small, 0.4 ml of insecticide is dissolved in 1 liter.

In the first case, a 0.05% solution is obtained, which acts for a long time after application - 3-4 months. One 50 ml bottle is enough to prepare 25 liters of the composition. This is a lot for treating an apartment, so it is more advisable to use half a bottle - 25 ml per 12.5 liters of water.

The second method can be used when the apartment is infested with insects only slightly. In this case, 4 ml of the drug is taken per 10 liters of water. The result is a 0.01% solution. At this dosage, Tsifox protects against bedbugs for a month.

When diluting, the following precautions must be observed:

  • use gloves and protective clothing;
  • keep the bottle with the drug low from the surface of the water to avoid splashing and splashing of the product;
  • Wear special glasses to protect your eyes;
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a respirator.

After pouring the product into water, the solution is stirred for 5 minutes. and pour into a spray bottle.

It is important to remember that the drug retains its properties for only 8 hours, so when treating the room it is advisable to use outside help, or purchase a garden sprinkler

How to use?

The treatment is carried out in protective clothing with the windows open. The drug is toxic to humans. If it enters the respiratory tract or digestive system, it can cause severe poisoning. To avoid this, use respirators and cotton-gauze bandages. The skin and eyes should also be covered with clothing and glasses, as the composition has corrosive properties.

The diluted tsifox is applied using a sprayer to the following surfaces:

  • baseboards;
  • walls behind paintings;
  • sockets;
  • shelves;
  • cabinets;
  • bed frames;
  • the inside of the sofas;
  • curtains;
  • bedspreads;
  • walls under peeling wallpaper.

Since Tsifox should be diluted against bedbugs depending on the degree of infestation of the apartment, the consumption rate of the drug depends on its percentage composition. For residential premises it will be as follows:

  • 0.01% solution – 50 ml per 1 m2 of poorly absorbent surfaces and 100 ml on highly absorbent surfaces;
  • 0.05% - 50 ml per 1m2, regardless of the type of materials.

The drug begins to act within 10 minutes. after use. Insects crawl out of their hiding places and after 20-30 minutes. die. As a rule, re-treatment of the room is not required, since bedbugs hatched from eggs are also exposed to the toxic substance.

Cleaning can be done after 8-12 hours of exposure to the drug. All hard surfaces with which contact is possible are wiped with soap or soda water. Sofas and carpets are vacuumed, curtains, drapes, bedspreads are washed.

Upon completion of disinfestation, the room should be thoroughly ventilated for at least half an hour. The smell will completely disappear in 2-3 days.

Reviews

The concentrated product is effective in killing harmful insects. The majority of owners, faced with a sharp increase in the population of flies, an invasion of cockroaches, fleas, bedbugs, and mosquitoes, confirmed the effectiveness of the concentrated emulsion.

Reviews about the drug Cifox are often positive; there are practically no negative opinions. The disadvantage, according to owners and exterminators, is the need to select the concentration of the product depending on the type of insect.

The concentrated insecticidal and acaricidal agent Tsifoks is suitable for disinsection of premises and open areas. If you strictly follow the instructions and prepare a working solution of optimal concentration, the result of the treatment in most cases satisfies the owners. The effectiveness of the composition is confirmed by positive reviews from professional exterminators and owners who carried out the treatment themselves.
